Dave Waters Memorial Barrel Race

This was created in honor of a man (Dave Waters) who spent a lot of time and effort not only competing within our club but as a committee member for a number of years. It was established to encourage people new to the sport, still gaining their confidence or for those who wish to compete without the pressure of competing in any divisional events.

All profits are donated to the Royal Flying Doctor Service, Gawler.

Once a person enters any divisional events, they are no longer eligible to compete in the Dave Waters Memorial Barrel Race. If a competitor consistently, over six SABHA rounds, completes a time that is 23 seconds or faster, that competitor is no longer eligible to enter this event for the remainder of the season and are to move up to a divisional event (Junior or Open Divisional).

  • Pole Bending is a timed event where a rider must complete a pole pattern (as per ABHA rules).
